Educating the whole child, in two languages
We are committed to educating the whole child, striving to provide quality education in a warm loving environment. Here foundations are laid, cultural barriers are broken, and a child’s sense of wonder, inspiration and curiosity is developed and nurtured.
In recognition of parents as our students’ first educators, we work in partnership with families, reinforcing the positive values already acquired at home.
Children are bored by tasks that are monotonous
A bilingual pathway
French instruction at 60 per cent, based on the Senegalese educational system, and English instruction at 40 per cent delivered as English as a Second Language.
Creative pedagogy
Free and structured play, music, movement, visual art, drama and multimedia. Different ways in, so every child is reached in their uniqueness.
Two teachers per class
Each class has a separate English teacher and French teacher, so children are taught in both languages rather than translated for.
An environment rich in English and French
- Dual-language activities are planned into every week.
- Bilingual books, posters, toys and learning tools are found throughout the classroom.
- As children move through the programme, the number of words learned each week increases, and fluency grows in both languages.
